Case Packing, Aggregation & Sealing System Model 1921

The Model 1921 is ID Technology's manual solution, for packing, aggregation and labeling of pharmaceutical cases. In a typical operation, case label data is transmitted from the MES host to a desktop label printer. After the label is printed, an operator scans it with a handheld scanner. A green light illuminates to indicate a valid scan.

The operator then erects a case and positions it in the fixture on the tabletop, leaving the top flaps open and applies the label to the case. Unit cartons or bundles of unit cartons are manually scanned to aggregate each unit/bundle to the case. A green light indicates a valid scan. The operator then places the unit/bundle into the case.

When the case is complete, the green light begins to flash, directing the operator to remove the case from the fixture and seal the case. Optional versions of the Model 1921 utilize an overhead camera for pack by layer aggregation scanning of units/bundles to the case. An Allen Bradley system PLC manages product tracking and the labeling, rejection and verification process.
