ID Technology offers a comprehensive range of high-speed thermal transfer overprinters for intermittent and continuous motion vertical and horizontal form, fill & seal machinery. Ideal for printing variable information onto PD, PP, paper and Tyvek, thermal transfer overprinting results in a sharp, clear image without compromising production speed.

The COMMUNICATOR II thermal transfer overprinter can print from speeds of 50mm per second to 1,400mm per second. The COMMUNICATOR II thermal transfer overprinter maintains high quality print during extreme accelerations and decelerations - operating with unprecedented precision while following the packaging machine's speed. A simple software controlled setting allows the printer to be changed from intermittent to continuous. This means the COMMUNICATOR II thermal transfer overprinter can be integrated into both intermittent and continuous packaging lines.

The simple robust design of the COMMUNICATOR II thermal transfer overprinter allows for easy maintenance and rapid ribbon replacement. The capacity for 1,400 meter rolls of ribbon - 50% more than our closest competitor, means reduced changeovers and maximized production time.

Patented FADING and RETRACTING technology to maximize ribbon usage provides even lower cost of ownership. By utilizing ribbon more efficiently and extending printhead life by decreasing energy used, many thermal transfer overprinter users will reduce the cost of labeling by as much as 20% in relation to competing printers.

The COMMUNICATOR II thermal transfer overprinter includes complete label creation software as standard. The printer can be controlled with any PC running a web browser, a packaging machine interface or a COMMUNICATOR 10" IP65 rated touch screen controller.

The IM 2 intermittent thermal transfer overprinter is an economical choice for 2 inch intermittent applications, while offering the same high ribbon capacity and FADING and RETRACTING technology.

The TM thermal transfer overprinter is an intermittent printer that was custom designed for direct integration into the various multi-lane, thermo forming packaging machines and all horizontal form/fill/seal packaging machines. It uses a 300 dpi print head and can achieve a print speed of 1,000mm/sec. TM thermal transfer overprinters come in two printhead widths, 53mm and 128mm and travels up to 600mm in print length.
