Touch Screen Interface for Label Printer Applicator Systems
November 11, 2003
The ID Technology operator interface is designed with custom touch screen controls. This interface can be adapted to fit most IDT Label Printer Applicator systems. The touch screen can control the startup and shut down of the entire system or each component individually. Using this interface the operator can set the product delay of the printer applicator, alert the operator of applicator status and enable or disable the shut down option for when the applicator is offline. All of these functions can be done easily in one place, with the IDT Operator Interface.
If the system includes an integrated scanner the operator can enable or disable the device using the operator interface. With the scanner enabled, the operator can also choose to enable or disable a trigger to shutdown the system after a specified number of consecutive scanner "no reads".
The on, off, delay and dwell, settings for a reject mechanism can all be defined from this interface. For example, a full system shutdown command can be generated when the reject conveyor is full. This option can be further defined by setting the amount of time the photocell must be covered before the system shut down is initiated.
