High Resolution Inkjet Printing on Soybean Bags
PREVIOUS PROCESS:
An exporter of soybeans and soy flakes to Japan and other foreign markets was using a DOD printer to print production dates on 50 lb bags. They needed a higher quality code for their customers.
The Japanese customers had problems reading the date codes produced by the DOD coder. This caused products to be returned to the exporter due to improper date codes.
Because the bags of product were quite heavy, special consideration had to be made while designing this system.
ID TECHNOLOGY PROPOSAL OR SOLUTION:
After careful review of the client's production facilities, ID Technology installed a high resolution modular inkjet printing system.
This inkjet printing system allows high resolution printing that complies with the standards of their customers. The system was mounted with a special guard to prevent interference with the travel of the 50 lb bags along the production line.
The resolution of print on the bags has greatly enhanced the look of the products and has required minimal technical service or service calls.
