Clam Shell Labeling for Food Products
ID Technology has designed product labeling solutions for off-line, on-line or semi-automatic labeling of clamshells.
The off-line automatic labeling systems can use an in-feed hopper or upstacker to hold a number of empty clamshells. The shells may be placed on the conveying system using a pick and place or other dispensing system before being presented to the labeler. An out-feed accumulation bin or upstacker can be used to collect the product after labeling.
On-line automatic labeling can be accomplished at various stages of the production process using top or bottom application methods. Systems may also be designed for 1, 2 or 3 panel applications with secondary wipe-down assemblies or several labeling heads.
Products can be labeled empty or after they have been filled and sealed. Labeling styles may include: prime labeling, decorative labeling, spot labeling, barcoding, required nutritional or informational labeling and tamper evident labeling. Synchronous, blow-on and tamp methods are utilized as the project warrants.
